Chad Buecker Named Seed Strategy President and COO

Susan Jones, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Seed Strategy, has named Chad Buecker as the firm’s new President. The pair will adopt a tandem leadership style to guide the company into the future.

Buecker has held the position of Chief Operating Officer of the Cincinnati-based brand strategy and new product innovation agency since 2012. Moving forward, he will continue to manage the agency’s operations team in addition to taking on elevated leadership and agency oversight responsibilities. Jones will remain as CEO, with Buecker’s promotion broadening the agency’s leadership strength.

“I have been a friend and colleague of Chad’s for more than twenty years,” said Jones. “In that time, I have always found him to be one of the smartest and most steadfast coworkers in the office. The true joy of this move is that it strengthens our day-to-day success, while allowing Chad and me to continue working together with the leadership team to shape the future for Seed Strategy.”

Buecker is a lifelong leader with vast experience across different types of agencies and brands. Before coming to Seed in 2009, Buecker spent time at The BASES Group, Northlich, LAGA, LaunchForce and WonderGroup. Over the course of his career, he’s worked with world-class companies like Kimberly-Clark, Unilever, Kellogg’s, Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Hershey, McDonald’s and more.

“When I first interviewed at Seed, I loved everything about it,” said Buecker. “It was unlike any other agency I had seen, and most importantly, I loved Susan’s innovative approach to running the business.”

Jones founded Seed Strategy in 2002 with the goal of creating a haven where the best strategists and creatives wanted to work. Today, Seed Strategy, Inc. is a Burke, Inc. company, and that original vision still holds strong, with its diverse cast of “all-stars” and a shared passion for inspiring clarity for clients to illuminate their path to growth.

As President, Buecker’s overarching goal is to preserve the characteristics that have not only made Seed Strategy an incredibly special place to work, but also an inspiring partner for its clients.

“For me, it’s all about continuing to focus on delivering inspired, breakthrough innovation and creative ideas for both Seed and our clients,” said Buecker. “We have great momentum and strong talent, so as an organization the way to success is to keep growing on this path.”
