Not since “Bewitched” has a TV show shaped public perception of our industry the way “Mad Men” has.

Some of us might not want to accept the image presented by the show’s provocative lead character, Don Draper, creative director for fictional ’60s-era ad agency Sterling Cooper. But as Senior Writer Robert Cherry points out in this issue’s Top Story, there’s more to “Mad Men” than the smoke, the booze, the chauvinism and all the other –isms that lend the series its bracing realism.

In this issue you’ll also find relevant news about advertising, inspirational quotes from some of the industry’s real-life pioneers, plus our newest column, “On The Couch.” This time out, Senior Art Director Jeff Johns reveals at least two secret obsessions and promotes his controversial status as Seed’s reigning FoosBowl champ.

Hope you enjoy,
