While it’s never been a hiring criteria at Seed, somehow everyone here absolutely loves to eat and/or cook. That interest not only helps with the work we do, but it makes lunch quite an event, with each of us packing a unique meal
that undergoes peer scrutiny at the communal table.
Gretchen Griffith usually brings in coveted leftovers from the amazing dinners she prepares at home. Rad Wakefield works his own special magic with the potluck contents of his home fridge. And Bob Guard virtually lives off the land, concocting meals from ingredients left
unattended in the Seed kitchen and from his own magic bag of health elixirs.
Gretchen recently had the opportunity to take her interest a step further and join in a week-long “boot camp” held at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. In this issue, she shares her experience at the camp, and relates some of her learning back to
her day job as Project Director.
Other specials on the menu include the latest news about food and beverage, inspiring quotes about life and cooking, and our newest column, “On The Couch,” in which Assistant Art Director Court Bower answers 10 probing questions designed to reveal the inner workings
of her being.
Bon appetit!
